AVA Interior Design is a full service design, decorating, project management, and organizing consultancy founded by principal designer Ania Maternicki.
Her passion for creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional is the foundation of the firm’s long-standing success.
Ania is a graduate of the prestigious OCAD University (Toronto, 1999), where she completed an intensive four-year program in Interior and Environmental Design, mastering the principles of hand drafting, design theory, and spatial planning. Her hands-on experience began during her academic years and naturally evolved into the launch of AVA Interior Design in 2005.
Ania’s work has been recognized with three Top Choice Interior Design Awards and a recent nomination for the GEM of Etobicoke–Lakeshore, celebrating her excellence in design and community contribution.
The name AVA is a personal tribute to her family, formed from the initials of Ania, Vincenzo, and Andrzej, a reflection of the heart and values she brings to every project.
Ania is personally involved in each design, ensuring outstanding quality, thoughtful detail, and a seamless client experience from concept to completion. Her diverse portfolio includes:

- Cottages and vacation properties
